Jeudi était mon dernier jour en France. Nous sommes parties de l'hôtel vers 11h et nous avons pris le bus Air France à l'aéroport. Tout allait bien à l'aéroport. J'ai fait les questions de securité tout en français, sans problèmes. Notre route: Paris à Boston, Boston à Chicago.
Thursday was my last day in France. We left the hotel about 11a.m. and we took the Air France bus to the airport. Everything went fine at the airport. I did the security interview questions in French without problems. Our route: Paris to Boston, Boston to Chicago.
I miss the fresh French food and croissants for breakfast, but I'm glad to be back. As Dorothy said in The Wizard of Oz, "There's no place like home."
Sunday I'm making a French dinner for my family... time to get my grocery list together!

Post 4 - Au Revoir Vichy, Bonjour Normandie!
J'ai fini mes études à Vichy et maintenant je suis en vacances en Normandie. Les villes de Normandie sont très pittoresques. Je suis restée trois nuits à Caen et une nuit à Cabourg. Dimanche je suis allée à Le Mont St. Michel. Demain nous allons à Honfleur, puis nous rentrons à Paris.
I finished my studies in Vichy and now I'm on vacation in the Normandy region. The cities of Normandy are very picturesque with a different style of architecture from central France. I stayed three nights in Caen and one night in Cabourg. Sunday I went to Mont St. Michel. Monday we visited Omaha Beach and Pointe-du-Hoch from WWII as well as the American Cemetery. Tomorrow we're going to Honfleur, then returning to Paris.
Sadly, my time in France is rapidly coming to an end. I will be home Thursday, July 29.

Semaine #2 - Week #2
Bonjour tout le monde,
J'ai passé une bonne semaine en classe. J'ai suivi le cours "Enseigner la Civilisation dans une Perspective Interculturelle".J'avais deux profs exceptionels. Nous avons discuté les stéréotypes, un film "Azur et Asmar", les cafés, les bistrots, Asterix et Obelix, les symboles et les publicités.

I had a good week in class. I took "Teaching Civilisation in an Intercultural Perspective". I had two great teachers. We discussed stereotypes, the film "Azur and Asmar", coffee/cafes, the history of the bistro, Asterix and Obelix, symbols of France and advertisements.
Mercredi était le 14 juillet. Je suis restée à la maison. Il faisait mauvais. Il pleuvait beaucoup pendant la journée, mais nous sommes descendus à Vichy pour regarder les feux d'artifice qui commençaient à 10h30.
Wednesday was Bastille Day. I stayed at the house. It was really bad weather. It rained off and on during the day, but we went down to Vichy to watch the fireworks that started at 10:30 p.m.
Ce soir je vais faire une expedition au Château de Randan pour me promener dans les jardins.
Tonight I am going with a tour group from CAVILAM to Randan Castle to walk in the formal gardens and learn about life in that era.
